Magic is full of creatures that tap for useful effects, no matter what you're trying to accomplish:. These effects are nice, but at the rate of one activation per turn, they're hardly game-breaking. On the other hand, if you could untap those creatures as often as you like, you'd win on the spot.
Our mission at Budget MTG Decks is to provide full deck tech videos of ready-to-play Commander, Modern, Pauper and duel decks with in-depth commentary on each card and overall play style. To make sure the decks are truly budget we have limited the price of all our cards to under a dollar with the exception of the commanders.

Welcome to the infinite combo and strong synergy database! This thread was originally created, maintained, and sustained by mazanostra, recently taken control of by HansonWK, more recently redone by me, and of course the suggestions of the community. This thread will contain as many infinite combos and good synergies as possible to help you find the right combos for your decks. If you find any formatting errors, such as card links not working properly or there being too much or too little space between things, please let me know and point it out to me.Stihl 024 av parts
It is greatly appreciated! Please read through the following spoilers before you submit a combo or synergy. Otherwise, enjoy and happy deck building! Please do not submit anything that involves Omniscience. That is not a combo, that is Omniscience being itself. You do not always need to include a finisher in your combo if it goes infinite in some way. The same goes for infinite mana and infinite gravestorm. Also, please put the colors of your suggestion in mana symbols prior to your suggestion in color-wheel order.
Please format your combo's properly! This includes grammar, capitalization, spelling, and that card links and symbols are working. The format is easy, is standardized throughout this database, and is as follows. I'm currently hypothesizing ways to streamline the thread by only including bare-bone combos and letting people fill in the gaps themselves. This leads to further discovery and better learning, because people can happen across something they didn't see or think of before and when they discover things for themselves it sticks better.
The other rework I'm considering is trying to get rid of multiple lines including the same cards. For example, Palinchron is listed at least five times in blue alone. The other way I thought about redoing the thread would be with the same sort of set-up, though its current iteration makes it messy.
There are occasionally cards or combos that you can do across multiple different colors that have the same outcome because the cards have a similar effect.
I wouldn't want to put these in the total colored section that all possible cards have, but I'd put it in the section of the common denominator of the combo. I'll give you an example of how I'm thinking it would look.
Infinite Mana Combos
It exiles itself, triggers its leaves play ability to return itself to the battlefield, and then exiles each targeted creature permanently. You can now permanently Final Judgment the opposing boards and hit all of their enchantments too 2 Target your own dudes. Let the abilities resolve, then target itself. It flickers, bringing back your dudes with it.
This lets you infinitely re-use any ETB ability. Filter a card in your hand for Sol Ring and play it with the 1 mana in your pool. Tap it. Filter a card in your hand for Grim Monolith and play it. Filter a card in your hand for Temple Bell. Play it. Discard the card you drew with Temple Bell to untap Temple Bell 5. Repeat step 4 until everyone at the table has drawn their entire deck.Today's article draws heavily from some articles I've written in the past.
Of course trying to catalog all sorts of combos is a never-ending quest, and I haven't done one in a while. This one, really isn't part of that series--though it is inexorably linked to it.2004 ford f 150 fuel system diagram hd quality venn
As you might have gathered "Magic the gathered? Is this thing on? It's my favorite format, for many, many reasons. I feel it's the perfect format for a Johnny to thrive in, and for a casual player to engage in.
It Takes Two
Cards that would sit and collect dust for eons or perhaps even be thrown away or turned into magnets or something on Etsy, in the real world anyway, are veritable gold or fattie bombs in the world of Commander.
Right before typing up this intro paragraph, I just won a game with Magmasaur and Stuffy Doll using my Grenzo deck. The more people who play Commander, the more attention WOTC throws at it and the happier I become in the process, which leads to more articles for the internet to digest and either love or spit at.
Froth, if you will. So this article showcases 50 different Commanders, and 50 different two-card combos which are awesome, and directly involve said commander.
But wait, there's more! As the teaser said, this is a wealth of knowledge There Boosh goes, being a Thundersong Trumpeter tooting his own proverbial Horn of Plentyso each combo discussed has bits of info that may lead to a different combo or a deck idea. This is a pretty good jumping off point if you are looking for a new deck, or a new combo you hadn't thought of, or starting your journey into the wondrous world of Commander. If I left off your favorite Commander combo, share it with everyone reading in the comments below.
Before we get into this, I don't own Daretti and think he is Spikey, cheesy, and not my cuppa'tea. So this list is subjective, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. What's better than getting two spells for the price of one? Getting them for free. I recommend also putting in Charmbreaker Devils to get back your double stuffed spells, and some Jace, the Mind Sculptor action to put spells you've drawn back on the top of your library for more double stuff fun.
Further, you could go a different route, which may-or-may-not mean not using the Galvanoth. A fun interaction I've always loved is Proteus Staff with a creaturless deck. If you employ only creature tokens Talrand's SummonsGoblin Scoutsetc et al. Adding in Goblin Charbelcher makes for a fun win-con in a Commander deck like that. While the preferred method of abusing a Charbelcher is a landless deck, you can't really pull that off in Commander.
But here, you can stack 20 cards on top of a mountain, activate, and grin sinisterly. Ahhhh Nekusar. He is why I am pro : anti-tuck ruling. His deck needs him at the helm, he can't be tucked. Look at how epically horrid this combo can be. If you want to be even meaner, try adding Grafted Exoskeleton or Phyresis to Nekusar as well Prepare to lose a lot of friends, but you own maniacal laughter might be worth it-- your call.
Hey Boosh, do you want to reference your Grenzo article again? Why yes Other Boosh, I do. I mentioned this in my Grenzo article, and it was my favorite Theros-block-combo.
If you want a straight up black removal-based Commander deck, give this a go.Mana is the core component of Magic, as it allows players to cast spells and basically play the game. Sometimes, players have difficulties rounding up enough mana to play spells with high mana costs; such as Kozilek, the Great Distortion and Storm Herd.
The infinite mana combos in this list are easy to set up, can be used in a variety of different strategies, and provide a never ending amount of mana to use in any way, shape, or form.
Rinse and repeat until you have as much mana as you want. Be careful, as this combo only creates black mana. Simply play Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith, then use Power Artifact to reduce the cost of untapping them to less than what they create.
Grim Monolith will produce one mana per use and Basalt Monolith will produce two mana per use. This way, Grand Architect can tap Pili-Pala in order to create two colorless mana.Best cave games
Since Pili-Pala is untapped, Grand Architect can tap it to create mana again and again. Since Gilded Lotus and Khalni Gem can produce more than one colored mana, they can tap and untap themselves in order to create an infinite amount of mana. The only problem with this combo is that it only creates blue mana, as Gilded Lotus and Khalni Gem can only produce one color at a time, and Filigree Sages uses blue to untap artifacts. After, cast Cloudstone Curio followed by Heritage Druid.
Play Heritage Druid again in order to redo the combo over and over until enough green mana in produced. First, make sure Gilded Lotus is on the field. Zealous Conscripts ability allows a player to take control of a card from anywhere on the field and then untap it, for every time Zealous Conscripts enters the battlefield. This combo only creates green mana, but is still an easy combo to get into play.

It only takes a minute to sign up. I started wondering when the first time an infinite combo was possible in Magic: The Gathering. I went through Alpha and, as far as I could tell, there wasn't an infinite combo available among the cards there, although there were a couple pieces to well known infinite combos.
The first two cards that I noticed from Alpha were Basalt Monolith and Time Vault but I didn't notice any way to go infinite with them using just Alpha. Are there any infinite combos that existed before this two card combo? Specifically, I'm looking for infinite combos that are legal to execute by tournament standards. So for example, using Basalt Monolith to tap and untap itself repeatedly wouldn't count as it doesn't advance the board state.
While the loop that Aulis and Ayatollah describe is undoubtedly the best infinite combo in Alpha, it is not the only infinite combo in Alpha.
Step 1: Play your entire deck, until there are only 9 cards combined in your graveyard, hand, and library. Step 2: Play Time Walk Step 3: Play Timetwistershuffle your graveyard and hand into your library, and draw 7 cards, including a Regrowth.
Step 4: Start your next turn, draw your eighth card. Play Regrowth, getting back Timetwister. You now have Time Walk and Timetwister in hand. Step 5: See Step 1. Sign up to join this community. While combinations of cards aren't limited to just two—there's some truly convoluted chains out there that would make Rube Goldberg proud—the most essential version is; taking two cards that work in harmony to dominate a situation is the poster child for deck synergy: A plus B equals cool. And when I asked you for your favorite two-card contraptions you answered in droves.
Of course, not all combos are born alike, and your answers showed the range of what combos really mean. If you want to supercharge your Commander decks with the biggest and best in the game, you'll find plenty of fodder to use today. Two cards, either innocuous or powerful on their own, combine into victory for the controller. These are the flashiest of combos and highlight the divide between players who play to win and those who play to win.
Infinite Mana Combos
They were also among the fewest, categorically speaking, of combo types sent in. I'll let you speak for how they work. My favorite deck features Gisela, Blade of Goldnight as my commander, and tries to one-shot people. The most effective combo I can do with this involves Gisela, Blade of Goldnight as the commander swinging in for damage, and a bloodrush Wrecking Ogre.
If she goes unblocked, 32 commander damage is pretty fantastic. My favorite two-card combo is straight out of my Radha, Heir to Keld ramp deck. Hellkite Charger either enchanted with Bear Umbra or equipped with Sword of Feast and Famine for infinite attack steps assuming sufficient lands.
I know infinite combos are frowned upon in some Commander groups but my mine tends to feature a lot of mass board wipes and other players able to combo out, so being able to take out the person who's recurring Child of Alara or who has thirty cards in hand is a handy trick.
Generally only after a couple of hours' play, though.Cmsxj16a manual
Nature's Will is another way to turn on the devastation. You can use Mikaeus as the commander, ensuring you always have access to one of the pieces, and it can dominate any number of players in a single game. Mikaeus and Triskelion is a more modern riff on Mephidross Vampire. Because I love making opponents mad in a Vorthos way. Exiling their library from the game is the perfect way. My favorite two-card combo has to be Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank. In a way, it turns into a cheaper Door to Nothingness.MTG Combos Explained: Isochron Scepter
The Guildmage also works well with Jace, Memory Adept : 10 life down the drain for three mana! Defeat a player for just seven! I love Duskmantle Guildmage. My favorite two-card combo is to counter a creature to the bottom of the library with Hinder and to then cast Tunnel Vision naming that card. No one suspects it! Chris wasn't the only one with a Tunnel Vision mill combo.
Apparently, milling entire libraries is a thing many of you want to do! I add some redundancy to the combo by using Scion of the Ur-Dragon as a commander and use it to copy Niv-Mizzet when I'm going for the kill, and by using also Keen Sense as a second copy of Curiosity. It's not infinite, since I need a card in deck for each point of damage I will deal, but it almost always at least kills one opponent. Drawing your library while pinging away at players or their creatures is something I remember fearing when I learned about Commander years ago.
Some combos never change. Two cards can lift a player up and provide a platform to build out dominance in a game.
